Determined campaigning over a number of years is having a clear impact. But much more is needed...

What you can do now:

• Call on the UK government to cut the strings attached to debt relief that harm poor countries and undermine democracy.
• Sign up for news and action emails, sent approximately monthly.
• Find out about registering or joining a local group.
• Organise local events and campaigning - you can use our campaigner guides for ideas and tips.
• Volunteer to help in the office, or start fundraising for JDC.

The progress we have seen on debt in recent years is down to campaigners like YOU! Gordon Brown himself acknowledged that the G8 made further concessions in 2005 because campaigners had made debt "a crucial public issue", and forced Finance Ministers to recognise that "the eyes of the public are upon us".

But we need more!
