Lobby Your MP to Lift the Lid

On Friday 19 October debt campaigners will be visiting their MPs in constituency surgeries to urge them to lift the lid on bad loans - and end the injustice of illegitimate debts.

You can take part in the lobby day by downloading our MP Lobby Pack, or ordering one via the office. The MP Lobby Pack contains:

• A How to Lobby Your MP guide with tips on arranging and preparing your meeting.
• A Lift the Lid campaign briefing including three specific campaign requests, for you to give to your MP.
• A Lift the Lid Q&A sheet with some common talking points about the campaign.

WHO IS MY MP?
You can find out who your MP is from the website www.theyworkforyou.com. Enter your postcode and it will tell you who your MP is. Alternatively, you can phone the House of Commons Information Office on 020 7219 4272.

HOW CAN I ARRANGE A MEETING WITH MY MP?
Most MPs hold a 'surgery' in their constituency once a week, where constituents can come and raise issues with them. You can usually find out details of your MP's constituency surgery on their personal website, if they have one - these are listed at: www.parliament.uk/directories/hciolists/alms.cfm
