Journey to Justice - Primary Assembly

This set of resources for assemblies has been prepared by Jubilee Debt Campaign for use in Birmingham Primary Schools in May 2008, marking the tenth anniversary of the 70,000-strong chain around Birmingham. However, it can of course be used after this date, and by schools elsewhere, with minor modifications. Permission is granted to make these sorts of modifications, as long as the general meaning of the presentation remains unaltered.

Assembly Presentation
A simple introduction to the concept of debt, along with opportunities to reflect upon the issues raised and to take action as a school community. A suggested script, along with ideas for the use of the other resources on this page, have been included in the presentation's speaker notes. It is hoped that school leaders will vary the inclusions, and the tone of the script, as appropriate to the age level and understanding of their students.
