Senior Policy and Campaigns Officer

Permanent, full-time
Salary £34,109

This is a challenging role which combines expert campaigning instinct with a solid background in research.

The successful candidate will become the foremost expert on international debt in the UK. But holding a key role in a small organisation, you will also know how to apply that experience to campaigns strategy and day-to-day decisions. You will be able to communicate ideas to local activists, decision-makers and high profile media alike.

This is a very demanding role, and the postholder will work closely with, and at times deputise for, the Director. S/he will conduct statistical research and analysis, write and commission research, produce campaigns briefings and actions and have a good understanding of political change. S/he will liaise with Southern movements and play a leading role in international campaigns.

Jubilee Debt Campaign (JDC) works to eradicate the poverty and injustice that result from global debt, and campaigns for radical changes to the financial system to create a more just global economy.

The post is permanent. JDC offers 25 days leave per annum, together with contributions to a personal pension of the staff member’s choosing.
